San Diego holds a very special place in my heart, and has always served as my mini-vacation destination! Just far enough from OC to be considered “out of town” but still close enough to make it an easy drive. With a completely different feel than OC, San Diego is my breath of fresh air and last weekend, I got to enjoy it with one of my favorite people… my sister! Last year she moved to Northern California (near Lake Tahoe) so our “girl time” has been limited to long phone calls and quick family visits.
For the whole weekend, it was just us, which mostly means lots of talking, eating, and laughing (always a great way to spend any weekend in my book)! We started by exploring Old Town San Diego, which after Ann and Sam’s wedding in December happens to be one of my favorite parts of the city!
Love all the texture and character of this area, the beauty is always in the details!
What’s a trip to San Diego, without spending an afternoon wondering around Balboa Park (mostly needing to burn off all the calories eating breakfast at Hash House A Go Go– so yummy)!
One of my many resolutions was to photograph more from my own life and adventures, and not just my clients! It’s a funny how much time I spend with a camera, but still there are few pictures of me… so heres to changing that!
My beautiful sister!
I’ve been to Balboa Park so many times, but never went into the Botanical Building until now. Such a beautiful structure filled with even more beautiful things, seriously go check it out!!
One last shot for memory’s sake!
Love you Rachelle, could not have asked for a better sister or friend!! I can’t wait for our next girls weekend… I’m thinking some place tropical! ;)
