All photographs start with some sort of inspiration, maybe its a piece of clothing, an era or a feeling. Regardless of what the inspiration might be, there has to be a reason to press the shutter and capture THAT picture. When getting ready for my shoot with Ashley, I only had one thing in mind: fresh green grass and laying down pictures. It’s as simple as that! Everything evolved naturally from there and I am thrilled with how it came together! I had to exercise some serious restraint, other wise this post would have 60+ photos!
I’ve been talking about photographing Ashley, for well, months! It was just a matter of getting our schedules together and hoping for good weather! Turns out it was worth the wait, because the day and light were amazing! I wish I could recreate light like this on call, but since I can’t, I took full advantage!
I was feeling especially sun deprived because I was lovin’ me some flare!
I asked Ashley to bring different clothing options which resulted in the purple dress, grabbed a blanket because I figured the grass would be wet and picked a few wild flowers earlier in the day… little did I know that everything would come together and look like this!! The idea in my mind was completely blown out of the water, in the best possible way!
Ashley was so much fun to work with, we were literally laughing the entire time! I love shooting portraits because not only do you have time to really nail a picture, you can relax and enjoy the shoot!
This photo makes me think of Alice in Wonderland, Ashley would make a perfect Alice, but better! ;)
Now for a different look!
