This wedding was truly ten years in the making. Samantha and Ryan tied the knot at his parents home in Camarillo, California. With the help of an amazing team of vendors, this location was just right, with the perfect blend of elegance and comfort. Mix that with a healthy dose of family and friends and you have actual wedded bliss! I hope you enjoy these backyard Camarillo wedding photos, because I sure loved taking them!
Backyard Camarillo Wedding Photos
There is so much to love about Samantha and Ryan – it’s hard to sum it up in a blog post! Their silly nature, witty humor, and the deep love for each other that is palpable is just the tip of the ice berg! And their Camarillo California wedding was truly a reflection of who they are as a couple. It’s no small task to make sure a wedding emulates the style and personality of a bride and groom, but The Joy Parade and Rebelle Fleurs completely knocked it out of the park. The lush florals and oh-so-perfect design were mind blowing!
Can we talk about Samantha’s Haley Paige gown for a minute?!?! I had some serious dress envy. This dress was not only beautifully made, but Samantha was beautiful in it– simply because it was perfect for her! The moment that dress went on, she lit up and continued glowing as she danced the night away with her groom.
A wedding day can go by quickly, so making sure you shoot all the main moments and family obligatory pictures is the first priority. But, as an artist, I sometimes see an ‘out of the box’ opportunity for a cool shot. Big kudos for Samantha and Ryan appeasing my adventurous spirit and being so trusting, because when I told them about a beautiful spot for photos (across the street…behind the bushes…in a rather…um…difficult place to reach) they were totally game! And, I’m so thankful that they were! Aren’t you?
This wedding was a great success because it was a true group effort. Ryan’s parents worked tirelessly to prep their home for the big day, his sister Lotta (owner of Eat Chic) made the delicious peanut butter cup favors, and all of the family and friends contributed to a day that was not only beautiful, it was meaningful. And, in my opinion, that’s exactly what every wedding should strive to achieve.
