Even though it’s not easy, I strongly believe we all need to break free from our comfort zones whenever possible! For me (and most others) public speaking is not a strength and something I like to avoid at all costs. So when I was asked to speak at Cornelia Connelly High School’s career day, my first instinct was to say “no!” After giving it some thought, I couldn’t shake the feeling I would be missing out if I didn’t do it!
So with my fears shoved aside, and pages of detailed notes, I was ready to go!
I gave three 45min presentations about photography (I have a new found appreciation for teachers who do this ALL DAY LONG, totally exhausting)! I talked about my education, where I started, showed LOTS of pictures and answered questions about everything from salary, to how a certain look is achieved. It was a blast and I couldn’t be more thrilled to talk about something I am so passionately dedicated to!
I made the worst facial expressions! I could do a whole blog post full of pictures like this! Haha :)
Thank you to Cornelia Connelly High for having me and I wish each girl the best of luck as the search for their careers! If anyone has any further questions please don’t hesitate to contact me!
