When you think of summer in Southern California, what do you envision? If I had to guess, I would say you see clear skies that go on for miles, beaches peppered with beautiful, soft sand and days that are endlessly drenched in sunshine. Am I right?
Well, after living in Orange County for over ten years now, I can honestly say that the way I described SoCal is pretty much the way it is in the summer months. Most days are the epitome of picture perfect. Every once in a while though, Mother Nature offers us a little dose of reality and doles out an overcast, gloomy day. Smack dab in the middle of summer!
On the day of Jenn and Todd’s Corona del Mar maternity session, the clouds hung onto the coast for dear life, the sun was nowhere in sight, and the beach was actually cold – in July! A day like this is truly a rarity when you live in Southern California, so it doesn’t feel right to be angry about it. Thankfully, Jenn and Todd weren’t fazed one bit and the session turned out to be pretty magically, despite the weather.
