“You can cut all the flowers, but you cannot keep spring from coming.” – Pablo Neruda
Ahhh- springtime is coming! I know, us Californians are spoiled in general with sunshine and moderate temps all year round, but that doesn’t make springtime any less special for us. As a professional photographer, springtime also represents the start of my busy season. And to that I say, #BringIt.
The Morris family is absolutely adorable and has grown over the years. How do I know this? They are repeat clients :) I don’t mean that in a smug way, but instead, a grateful way. I absolutely love my wedding, engagement and boudoir clients, but there is something so special about shooting the same family year after year. Getting to watch their children grow (and new children get added to the family) is a place of privilege – and I’ll never lose sight of that.
Costa Mesa Family Photos
The Morris Family has entrusted me a few times to capture their life through my lens and this lifestyle shoot was so much fun. I mean, check out these two cutie daughters of theirs! And these little ladies knew the exact route to my heart. Flower crowns! Between the crowns and their piercing blue eyes- I was almost driven to the point of distraction. Luckily, I held it together and got some great shots of this Costa Mesa family!
Minimal props are typically used during my lifestyle sessions. But this vintage wooden wagon is welcome any day of the week! Swoon! It paired perfectly with the touches of lace, pale color palette and natural greenery in this Costa Mesa park.
In all seriousness though, you don’t need a whole lot of props when you have a whole lot of love. This family is the sweetest, and witnessing two parents shower their children with love makes a beautiful picture. Every. Time.
