When I was pregnant with Jones, I dreamed about what it would feel like to be a mom. So much of what I hoped and dreamed for has become a reality – but there have also been some surprises along the way. One of the best surprises has been building community with other mothers. There are now so many amazing women in my life that I would have never met or had the opportunity to befriend, had I not become a mom. Jacqueline is one of those women and I couldn’t be more grateful to have her in my life nor more honored that she asked me to photograph this Costa Mesa family and newborn session.

After Jones was born, I quickly realized that having a strong community of other women around me was going to be a key to success as I defined it. Being able to walk the crooked path of motherhood with other women by my side has been invaluable to my mental, physical and emotional well-being. And, you know what, it’s just more FUN that way, too!
The New Mom School was a direct “in” to the community I was searching for when Jones was an infant. Jacqueline was one of the likeminded moms that I met and honestly, I would describe her as a total rockstar. I admire the strength and love she pours into her family and her friendships. I’ve been on the receiving end of that superpower and appreciate her more than she knows!
Jacqueline – I have 100% faith that you’re going to rock this mom-of-two job and I can wait to support you through it in any way I can. I also can’t wait for play dates and beach days with our littles! Congrats to you and your sweet family!
