Working in the wedding industry has a lot of perks. One of the biggest is that I get to meet and build relationships with so many incredible people. Often times, these relationships start off via email or social media with other vendors who are working with the same couples as me, and this is especially true when it comes to hair and makeup artists. I love getting to know a little about them and also make sure our communication is tight since we are going to be working side-by-side as the bridal party gets ready. This is exactly how I got to know (and have come to love) Jackie, the fabulous owner of Design Visage.
Jackie is seriously one of the most beautiful people I know – both inside and out. I’ve had the pleasure of working with her and the Design Visage team on countless weddings and, let me tell you, they never disappoint! Their work even inspired me to hire them to doll me up recently for one of my friend’s weddings. It was awesome to be on the receiving end and they made me look and feel like a million bucks! Jackie is truly the best of the best and I was so honored that she asked me to photograph her sweet family for this Costa Mesa in-home newborn session.
Costa Mesa In-Home Newborn Photos
This session was so much fun. And I’m not saying this just because I got an opportunity to connect with Jackie on a more personal level and in her gorgeous home — but because she and her husband really were embracing all aspects of their new family of four. Having a newborn in the house is stressful so I love when my clients don’t take themselves too seriously. In between photos at this Costa Mesa in-home newborn session, there was a lot of laughing, nursing, jumping on the bed and even a few M&M’s.
This season of life is so full and so precious, and I’m grateful I was able to document a small piece of this lovely family’s story for them.
