Elizabeth and Taylor’s engagement session had been on the book for months. We had all the details finalized down to the tee. From the location, to hair and makeup. Everything was ready to go. So naturally, you’d think they’d be a little disappointed when the forecast showed rain for the exact date and time we planned on shooting. But, to my surprise, they weren’t at all! Elizabeth and Taylor just rolled with the punches and took the change up as an opportunity to let their personalities shine through. We had to find a new location and theme, but we took this on as a fun challenge. Indoor sessions take a little more thought than outdoor sessions do, but I’d say we met this challenge head on and just slayed it.
So without further adieu, I bring you the “rainy-day-sit-on-the-couch-in-my-office-and-drink-coffee-engagement” session!
Cozy Couch Engagement Session
I have to say, in my humble opinion, this session should go down in history as the best “last minute change of plans” engagement session. Like, ever. I seriously LOVED everything about it. The cozy feel. The hot coffee in hand. And, of course, the swoon worthy chemistry between Elizabeth and Taylor. Even the rain outside added an element of good old fashioned romance. Sigh. This cozy couch engagement session gave me all the feels! It also made me want to curl up on a couch with my love and a hot cup of tea and watch the storm go by. I may or may not have done that when I got home :)
I want to give a special shoutout to Design Visage for Elizabeth’s gorgeous hair and makeup! I literally cannot wait to see what look Elizabeth decides to go for on her wedding day and I’m sure it’ll be one of many highlights to photograph considering their wedding is being planned by the fabulous Agape Planning! Stay tuned!
