Do you recognize this sweet couple? It’s not the first time they’ve graced the pages of my blog. You might remember Jackie and Matt and their adorable puppy, Westley and the session I blogged about earlier this year. I mean, how can you not — it was seriously the cutest couples session I’ve done in a long time (click here to see that full post).
Well, a few things have changed since you last saw Jackie and Matt — most prominently – they got engaged! Westley, their furry guy, is out of the puppy stage and keeping this couple on their toes! Most importantly – Jackie and Matt are happy, and that makes me happy – especially because I’ve known Jackie for so long. I just love how my job allows me to stay connected with people!
Elfin Forest Engagement Session
Now, I’m all about living in the moment — but thinking ahead to my 2019 weddings has me so excited! Jackie and Matt’s Franciscan Garden’s wedding is sure to be a showstopper — and they happen to be getting married at the same venue my husband and I did — so it holds a special place in my heart.
For Jackie and Matt’s engagement session – we all traveled to San Diego to one of my favorite and most unique shoot locations – Elfin Forest. I’ve photographed there before, and I was eager to get the chance to shoot there again. This recreational preserve is literally so magical. I can’t help but look over my shoulder, expecting to see a fairy fly by when I’m there.
Jackie and Matt are pros in front of the camera – and they appeased all of my requests and suggestions. They even waded into some water for extra romantic shots! I’m seriously still swooning over my afternoon with them. Great couple, amazing location, and so much love! An afternoon well spent!
