Goodbyes are never easy especially when saying farewell to something that has been in your life for so long! Since I was 16 to be exact. It was my first real symbol of freedom and through thick and thin it’s never been let down! I can’t say that about a lot of things in my life, but it couldn’t be more true for my beat up 1996 Toyota Tacoma! Affectionally named “Bambi” and currently running strong at 254,000 miles… on it’s first engine! This sliver bullet, although beaten and bruised, has been with me for many of the best moments of my life! All throughout high school and college, it was my trusted companion and partner in crime. We’ve been on many road trips together, but sadly our journey is coming to an end.
I’ve been putting off selling the truck because it’s like closing one chapter of my life and moving on to another: a little scary, but ultimately for the best. This truck has been BEYOND good to me, and I look forward to passing it along to someone who can see beyond its warn exterior and put it to good use!
A joyful loving appreciation only can bring good things and here is to your new vehicle exceeding your joy with “Bambi”!
Love Dad
