I’ve photographed hundreds of couples at some of the most gorgeous locales Southern California has to offer. Each session and wedding has something unique to offer and I love soaking in each and every experience. But sometimes, there is an experience so unique that it leaves an impression on me for a very long time. And that was true for this InterContinental Hotel Century City wedding.
Marie and Vince took their portraits on a helipad and it might just be the most rad move a bride and groom have ever planned. Seriously, I felt like we were in a movie or something. The images turned out stunning! Some of that has to do with the helipad and vast backdrop of the city, but most of it has to do with this super sweet couple.
InterContinental Hotel Century City Wedding Photos
This day, from start to finish, was full of love, laughter and lots of dancing. Seriously – Marie and Vince did not disappoint their guests when it came to creating a fun and energetic atmosphere to celebrate their union. The ceremony took place on the grounds of the InterContinental Hotel Century City and everywhere I looked, people were smiling from ear to ear.
The ceremony was lovely, the portraits on the helipad are something I’ll remember forever but this reception guys – calling it “fun” is the understatement of the year! Marie and Vince did a Zaffa for their grand entrance which set the tone for the rest of the night. If you haven’t participated in a Zaffa before, it’s a musical grand entrance rooted in Middle-Eastern culture that uses drums, bagpipes, horns and more to celebrate the new couple. It’s loud and wild and literally such a fun time.
Marie and Vince also splurged for a live band which surprisingly isn’t very common amongst my couples these days. Undercover Live really killed it with setting a great atmosphere for the reception and I’m pretty sure everyone in attendance had sore feet the next day from all the dancing!
Cheers to this beautiful couples on their beautiful wedding day!
