Finally. Spring is HERE! I’m totally loving it! And, I hope you are, too! I have a ton of engagement sessions on the books and I cannot wait! All the fresh greenery and straight up love these couples possess has got me super excited for wedding season! This Jeffrey Trail Irvine engagement session with Krista and Dave is the perfect example of why I’m so excited!
There is a little expression amongst photographers — that you are only as good as your couples. I couldn’t agree more! Photography is a two-way street and I am only able to capture the emotion of the subjects in front of me. While I do have a million tricks (and years of experience) getting the angle and lighting *just right* or helping my couples feel comfortable in front of my camera – I can’t imitate actual feeling for them. If my clients look or feel awkward in front of my camera – it’s going to show in the final images.
Krista and Dave needed no prompting, coaching or convincing during their Jeffrey Trail Irvine engagement session. They showed up with huge smiles on their faces and open minds and hearts. Plus, they were leaving for Hawaii the next day – so that giddiness certainly helped! A tropical adventure so close they could taste it!

I absolutely LOVED how Krista’s bold patterned dress popped against the green backdrop of Jeffery Trail. Dave’s outfit was understated with simple, muted tons that let Krista’s dress take center stage. This couple is so comfortable with each other – they made it easy! My sole responsibility was to follow them around the trail and just capture them….being them!
I am already counting down the days until their fall wedding with Agape Planning and Design Visage. It will surely be a stunner! Stay tuned!
