Jackie was honest with me from the start. She confessed that she was “not one of those photogenic people,” and in response, I smiled and laughed! I laughed because I knew exactly how she felt, and in the back of my mind a challenge was born. I instantly set out on a mission: to prove Jackie wrong!

Throughout our session, we explored the back streets of Santa Ana, the only audible sound was our giggles as we snapped countless frames. I would show Jackie the back of my camera and she would respond surprised “Ah, I like that!?” I knew from the moment I met Jackie she would be a dream to photograph, and boy were my expectations exceeded!

After making my first round of edits, I still had over 150 frames of pure goodness! To say that choosing the blog photographs was difficult, would be a gross understatement… it was nearly impossible (a problem I don’t mind at all)! I’m not usually one to brag, but Jackie my dear, I hate to break it to you… you are one of those photogenic people! ;)

The ultimate package, Jackie is not only beautiful, smart, and funny, she is an AMAZING writer!! I am absolutely addicted to her blog, and strongly recommend everyone to check it out! She has a profound ability to get to the root of life in a honest way that everyone can relate to!

And now… pause for dramatic effect… the little black dress!!

The next few shots need some explanation. Although Jackie and I were having an awesome time photographing, I cannot take credit for the above smiles. From across the way, loud cat calls soon became the only thing either of us could hear: “Ya, work it girl! Are you a model? Your so pretty, what’s your name?” Soon the admirers made their way to a center stage view of Jackie, and the adoration continued to pour like rain from the heavens. We laughed, trying to hold some composure, snapping a few last frames. Just like any good model, Jackie posed with her drooling 16-year-old fans. We called it a night, and everyone went their separate ways, all with HUGE smiles of their faces!
