You might remember a little giveaway I had on the blog a few months ago. The premise was to give one married couple the chance to “redo their wedding photos,” and I am beyond excited to finally share with you the results!! Our winners, Melanie and Rey, were the perfect couple for this shoot and were such a pleasure to work with! Even though it’s been a few years since they were married, they still acted like newlyweds and it was clear how much this shoot meant to them!
To get a better feel for Melanie and Rey, I thought it would be fun to share with you a bit of their story:
“My Husband Rey and I met in 2001, and married in 2009. I’ve been told by many of our friends that he was SO sure that one day, I was going to be his wife! He had told them ‘That girl is going to marry me one day!!’ We were friends for about 3 years before we started dating… I of course had to play hard to get!! ;) But in the end I asked him out (which I had NEVER done before) and he said ‘Yes!’ By the way, he brags about it to this day! So I guess he would say he knew I was the one from the day we met, and I knew he was the one when he stuck with me for the past 10 years being the outgoing, spunky and bossy person that I can be.
I searched HIGH and LOW for a wedding photographer that was in our price range. I am IN LOVE with photography, but when the wedding photos were posted online, my husband and I sat down to review them, I simply just cried!! It was so bad that I didn’t showed any of them to my family and friends, until recently. After our wedding, I had friends and family asking to see the photos and asking for copies and wanting me to post them, but I was so sad that I had no desire to even look at them again. I told my husband just recently that if I could change one thing about my wedding, I would have hired a different photographer because looking at the photos just LITERALLY broke my heart!
Since the wedding we both have lost weight so these new photos will be a marker point for a new “healthy way of living!” We are in love more than ever, and these new photos mean the WORLD to us and we can FINALLY share something with our family, friends and our future kids!!”
So without further ado, meet Melanie and Rey, and take a look at their Second Chance Wedding Shoot!
