They say a mothers love for her child is one of the deepest, most powerful feelings in the world. At only 6 months pregnant, I can already see how this is true. The fierceness that comes with both loving and protecting our babies is something so complex, only another mother is able to understand. From what I hear, the days are long but the years are short. When I photograph families who have teenagers, the parents often reminisce about the days their children actually wanted to be in the portraits with them. How they never wanted to leave their side. I’m sure this can be very taxing to a parent, but also, hindsight proves these are some of the fondest memories. As a photographer, I love having the privilege of documenting these sweet moments, so that parents have pictures to reflect back on. This Mommy and Me photography session at Santa Ana Train Station is a great example of how powerful both a mothers love and a photograph can be.
Mommy and Me Photography Session
To say this Mommy and Me photography session got me even more excited to be having a little boy is like the biggest understatement evvvveeerrrrrr. Seriously, you guys. That hat?! Those eyes!? That look he gives his Mama?! I could barely hold it together while photographing these two.
I love shooting at the Santa Ana Train Station. Steeped in history and gorgeous architectural design detail, it was the perfect backdrop for this laid back Mommy and Me photography session. This mom and son chose a simple color palette which let the tile work in the train station pop (and was the perfect accompaniment to my heart bursting).
I’m sure what they say is true about the days being oh, so long and the years being way too short. So- let’s make sure we never underestimate how important it is to capture it on film. Ready to book your Mommy and Me photography session? Contact me today.
