I hate being the center of attention. There, I said it (and I mean it). It’s no surprise I ended up being a professional photographer, and I can say with one-thousand-percent certainty that my happy place is behind the lens. Sure, I can be very outgoing and it’s not like I’m a total introvert, but when all eyes are on me, I’m not at my best or most comfortable. You can imagine how I felt when my friends starting talking about throwing me a Where The Wild Things Are themed baby shower. Gulp.
With our son’s arrival approaching quickly, I obviously wanted to celebrate with people who I love and who love me most. So, I agreed to the shower, but on a few conditions. Mainly – that they keep it intimate and focused on my two favorite things – food and friends!
“Where The Wild Things Are” Inspired Baby Shower
I’m not kidding when I say, I have the BEST family and friends a girl could ask for! They came together to plan this Where The Wild Things Are themed baby shower with the most adorable decor and most delish brunch food! Seriously – waffles of all different shapes and sizes (heaven!). I have been obsessed with the book, Where The Wild Things Are since I was a little girl, and my family and friends really took care to weave precious quotes throughout the shower in frames and other decor. I loved every single detail!
I don’t think I’ll ever be able to thank this crew enough- especially my girls Rachelle, Brandi, Kelly, Clare, and Katie! Thank you for putting together such a beautiful baby shower that was perfectly me. I love you all so dearly, and our little man is blessed to have you in his life! I can’t wait to share him with you!
