A wedding usually involves a good story. Some might call it a love story, but most of the time the story involves not only love, but adventure. And, I’ll say, Christina and Ryan’s story is not short on either adventure or love. Ryan’s claim to fame? He raced in the Baja 1000 the day before their nuptials! That’s right. I got to photograph two bad ass rally car racers! Ryan is the driver and Christina is the navigator. I honestly can’t think of a better way to put your relationship to the test than for one person to have to guide the other through off-road courses at crazy fast speeds. But for these two, it’s all in a days work!
I was lucky enough to get to know them as a couple when Christina’s sister got married in Maine a few years back. So, Christina and Ryan feel more like family than clients and getting to document their romantic Franciscan Gardens wedding was especially meaningful to me.
Romantic Franciscan Gardens Wedding Photos
These two might be speed junkies, but their romantic Franciscan Gardens wedding felt anything but rushed. The setting was classic with it’s natural elements, stone work and aged fountains. You couldn’t help but to slow down and soak in every moment. Which is exactly what I encourage every bride and groom to do on their wedding day. It’s so easy to get caught up in the details, or in playing host/hostess. But really, this day goes by too fast and you have planned too long to just miss out on it.
Christina and Ryan really were a shining example of a couple who stopped and enjoyed their day and the magnitude of what it was about. The result? Stunning images for them to preserve in time so that, no matter how many miles per hour they are traveling, they will always be able to reflect back on their wedding day.
