It’s pretty much a perfect workday for me when you combine my favorite locations and a couple that is head over heels in love. And that, my friends, is exactly what this San Juan Capistrano engagement session was – an absolutely perfect day at work!
It’s no secret that I love San Juan Capistrano. I chose this location for my own wedding and love to take my little family there for outings. The Mission is also one of the most requested locations by my clients for their photo sessions. And it’s easy to see why! The architecture, the landscape, and the vibrant colors make this such a dreamy spot!

For Jenna and David’s engagement session, we explored not only The Mission but Los Rios Street which is only a few blocks away. Los Rios Street is rich in history and has been so well preserved. The street boasts some of the most charming art shops, restaurants and coffee shops I’ve seen. The Mission usually gets all the attention in this area, but Los Rios Street is definitely worth checking out if you’re in the San Juan Capistrano area!
Spending the afternoon with Jenna and David was such a delight. They are both so easy-going, kind and friendly. By the end of our time together, I felt like I’ve known them for years. I always love spending time with couples who seem to genuinely enjoy each other’s company. Photography sessions can be a bit stressful – so when a couple is cool, calm and collected in front of the camera I appreciate it so much!
