Slow Season

Feb 17, 2015 | Personal

2015 may be starting off slow, but I can already feel it steadily increasing into what I expect to be a monster of a year. The “winter” months are my slow season for shoots and weddings. This means my days are spent catching up on projects I am too busy to complete in the heat of wedding season. This glamorous side of business revolves around updating portfolios, tax prep, accounting, finalizing outstanding album orders, continued education, the list goes on and on.

I actually really enjoy this time of year, it helps me refocus my business, priorities, and life before diving into another year of weddings. In addition to the general business roles, I have been working on redoing my office in Costa Mesa and welcoming a few awesome vendors into the space with me. It’s been a fun project, and I’m excited to share the new look in the coming weeks.

In the meantime here is a sneak peek of the amazing Bridal Brunch I photographed last week at the newly designed Hotel Irvine. This was such a creative and inspiring day. I especially love this ceremony setup by LVL Events, Sweet Marie Designs, Found Rentals, Kristina Ann Kalligraphy, and Signature Party Rentals. More from this event coming soon!
