This wedding at The 1909 was the last of 2016 for me (insert heavy sigh indicating extreme satisfaction and slight exhaustion here). I literally cannot think of a better couple than Jenn and Greg to close out my busiest wedding season yet. They are totally my kind of people. Funny, joyful and just so damn excited to get married!
Jenn and Greg spent months planning their ideal outdoor wedding reception at The 1909. But, in true fashion, Mother Nature had drastically different plans. Most couples and wedding coordinators would flip out over this, but not Jenn and Greg! True to character, they weren’t phased by the last minute change to an indoor venue because no matter what Mother Nature brought their way, the outcome was going to remain the same. They would be husband and wife!
Thankfully, Jenn and Greg were both open to a First Look (which I highly recommend), so we were able to take all of their portraits before the ceremony and before weather became a problem. They were even still able to get married under the beautiful oak trees at The 1909 as planned! Special shoutout to Mother Nature for this – as it really made the ceremony photos something special!

There wasn’t a moment throughout the day that Jenn and Greg weren’t smiling. They floated around with such excitement and enthusiasm (which is exactly how it should be if you ask me). Every person in attendance could tell that they were grateful to be getting married in such a lovely venue and to be surrounded by family and friends, but even more so, just to be getting married to each other. The icing on the cake was that this bride and groom could tear up a dance floor like the best of them! Even as I was packing my bags to leave, there was no sign of them slowing down!
Here’s to many more years of dancing together, Jenn and Greg!
