For those of you who have followed my work for a while, you’re probably very familiar with the Lemon family. Their adorable faces are amongst some of my favorite to photograph. And, to make this situation even more ideal, Brandi is not only one of my closest friends, but also a fellow photographer that I get to work with often. Not to mention, she is crazy talented! Seriously, what’s better than having your dream job that incorporates working with your best friend?! Not much if you ask me! :)
Photographing Brandi is such a privilege, but getting to photograph her whole family, including her insanely adorable, recently turned 2 year old daughter Ruby June is unbelievably fun! I am absolutely loving shooting at The Mission in San Juan Capistrano, too. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite venues to hold sessions. And, taking a look at the photos below, you’ll see why.
The Mission San Juan Capistrano Family Photos
Watching Brandi become a mother has been one of the best things about life these past two years. The patience and joy she exudes when around or just talking about her family is infectious and it makes my excitement about becoming a mom go through the roof. I only hope to be half the mother she is when our son arrives.
To top things off, Brandi’s style game is on point and I am just loving these outfits and the color palette she picked out for their family session. The denim, gold and pop of color in her husband William’s pants fit right in with the brick pavers, wood beams and natural landscape at The Mission San Juan Capistrano. Minimal accessories were needed because, well, have you seen the smile on Miss Ruby?! My heart was about to explode from the cuteness!
I will never be able to express the joy I get from photographing Brandi and her family. I am truly the luckiest.
