As a professional photographer, I get the privilege of meeting so many people through my work. This goes far beyond just the couples I work with. I often times get to know their wedding party well, too. Katie has been a bridesmaid in several of the weddings I’ve photographed – going back to the very start of my business. From the moment I met her, I knew she was my people!
Katie has an incredible personality and every time I saw her at a wedding she would tell me that one day I’d be photographing hers. Every photographer is used to hearing compliments like this – but we know not every person will actually follow up. However, not every person is Katie.
As soon as Katie got engaged, I got an email from her — and it literally made my day! I am over-the-moon happy for her and Jenna and I cannot wait to shoot their wedding.

I hadn’t met Jenna before their engagement, but I knew she must be something special since Katie is so amazing. These two make a perfect pair and if you spend any amount of time around them, it’s clear their bond is very strong.

If I’m being honest, the hour spent with them was such a refreshing and soul-fulfilling one. We should all look to Jenna and Katie as an example of how to love and be loved. If we all embraced just a little bit of this mindset – we’d be a much happier world.
