In past blog posts, I’ve written at length about the perks of my job. As a professional photographer, I get to explore so many beautiful places in my home state and meet and grow my network of other amazing wedding vendors. My all-time favorite perk though is getting the opportunity to form real-life bonds with my clients. Sometimes they are returning clients or people I know personally, but other times I don’t meet clients in person until the day of the shoot. More times than not, we feel like old friends by the end of our session – and that is exactly how Jaclyn and Ken’s Treasure Island Laguna Beach engagement session was!
Treasure Island Laguna Engagement Photos
Within five minutes of arriving at the engagement shoot location – I knew these two were going to be a good time! I loved taking their photos, but I loved getting to know their story, their personality and their history even more. And, let’s talk about their sense of humor because it was on point. I honestly haven’t laughed that much during a shoot in a long time! Their energy was contagious and it shows in the finished product – beautiful photographs.
Let’s also talk about Jaclyn and Ken’s wardrobe choices. They nailed it! The outfits were dressy enough for an engagement session but practical enough for a beach setting. I especially loved how Jaclyn’s floral dress popped against the muted tones of the sand and rocks and how her second dress was so light and airy. Perfection! And, Ken, you looked pretty great, too :)
Sadly, I won’t be the one photographing their wedding as they are getting married in Mexico (jealous on so many levels!), but if I know one thing to be true, it’s this: Their wedding is going to be one hell of a party. Cheers to you, Jaclyn and Ken! Drink a margarita for me!
