I love being let into a couple’s love story. This UC Irvine engagement session with Stephanie and Michael took me back to the beginning of their story – where it all began. UC Irvine is where Stephanie and Michael met. As you know, especially if you’ve followed this blog for any length of time, there is absolutely zero shortage of great locations to have photography sessions in Southern California. We have it all. Beaches, mountains, grasslands, desert plants. Literally, we have it all. But there is something so intimate, so special when the session location has some meaning behind it. UC Irvine Engagement Photos
Stephanie and Michael’s engagement session was the first time I had the opportunity to shoot at UC Irvine. It’s a lovely campus and I learned so much in a short time about the school’s history thanks to Michael and his vast knowledge. At every turn, there was an architectural detail I wanted to capture on my camera. Bridges, tunnels, metalwork, brick pavers, and even a few patches of lush greenery. It’s a blessing and curse being a creative – I see opportunity everywhere! Fortunately, I have so many couples who don’t mind meandering with me for a couple of hours letting me stop them for photo ops whenever the mood strikes.
There wasn’t a moment of downtime during this engagement session. Stephanie and Michael talked about the class they met in, all the fun things they did together and the memories they made while at UC Irvine. A stroll down memory lane in the physical and emotional sense is two hours well spent if you ask me!
