There are so many choices when it comes to picking out your wedding flowers. This year I noticed some major standouts: lilies, peonies, roses, orchids, and calla lilies… all usually in white or creme! When I started to look back at my 2009 weddings I was surprised with the amount of white bouquets I’d photographed. While the more colorful and rich colors were reserved for the bridesmaids bouquets. I did a little research on what these flower choices say about you, not based in science but still interesting:
Lily: You are a nurturing person. In fact, people are drawn to you. A few words from you can make people feel worlds better. It’s no wonder many say you would be a great therapist! However, you shouldn’t feel like you have to ease everyone’s troubles; your caring alone accomplishes more than you realize.
Rose: You know how to bring the Prince Charming out of any man. You are also the kind of friend who gets called first with news- big or small. Despite your wide social circle and busy agenda, you have a secret need for alone time and you sometimes even feel a little shy.
Peony: Based on the Greek myth: Asclepius was the god of healing and medicine. Peaon was his wingman. Peaon became so talented that Asclepius became dangerously jealous. To save Peaon from Asclepius’ wrath, Zeus turned him into a flower; the Peony. You are a natural healer, bring warmth and comfort with you everywhere you go.
Orchid: You are exotic and intricately beautiful, possessing a unique grace that is both strong, yet delicate. Thoughtful and refined you are the definition of class. Although some may find you unapproachable, it’s only their lack of confidence speaking.
Calla Lily: You are a magnificent beauty. Classic and timeless, your feelings run deep. You are very effected by the world around you, and you are thankful for the life you lead. You are incredibly hopeful and courageous. Even when you’ve been challenged in life, you have faith that everything will work out.
I can’t wait to see what my brides have planned for 2010!!
