Ahh… I can’t even begin to tell you how excited I am about this shoot!!

Will & Brandi are not your typical couple and I mean this in the best possible way! They are real, uncensored, down to earth, sarcastic and constantly trying to make life into a punch line. They have no problem telling you how it is, one of the many reasons I love and appreciate their presence in my life!

When Brandi and I initially talked about the theme it quickly became apparent that we were on the same page: mountains, camping, plaid, rustic, causal and totally adorable! We knew what we wanted, picked Lake Arrowhead as our destination (where they are also getting married in October) and set out for our shoot. There was only one problem, we had no real clue where we were going and I silently worried that we wouldn’t find what we wanted. After a few hours of driving we turned down a random dirt road and we finally found it… the perfect spot!

It’s been a long time since I’ve photographed in the woods, but I instantly felt right back at home!

Up a random dirt road in the middle of nowhere, we found “LOVE” spray painted on a rock… doesn’t get much better than that!

What shoot in the mountains would be complete without a little tent action?

I had to exercise some serious restraint with these photographs. I could have easily post all 60 of my absolute favorites, THAT’S how much I adore this shoot!

We got these awesome beards from Etsy, it was hilarious and was a nice break from the mushy-gooshy lovefest! ;)

Will had an especially good time!

Brandi did an such amazing job with all their clothing, and after a quick change we switched gears to a more dressed up look.

I love everything about this shoot; the couple, location, clothes and light! It was one of those dream days, where everything fell into place and all was exactly how it should be. Will and Brandi,  I could not be more excited for your wedding and to watch your life together unfold. Love you both!!
