I’m not lying when I say that I have been desperate to share these engagement photos for MONTHS! The end of 2019 was a straight hustle – with the holidays, followed promptly by illnesses and, of course, a lot of time spent goal setting for 2020 – this winter has flown by! This week, I was able to dig into some editing and get reacquainted with some of my amazing couples I’ve had the privilege to photograph recently. I’m so happy to feature Alyssa and Daniel on the blog today! Their winter Laguna Beach engagement session still gives me all the feels!

I’ve told you countless times on this blog about how much I love engagement sessions and how I wish all couples scheduled one prior to their big day. Not only does it provide an opportunity to capture some more casual images before your wedding – but it also provides a platform for me to get to know you and you to get to know me. And that, my friends, is time well spent!
Engagement sessions are usually just a few hours long, but it’s put toward trust-building which is vital to a successful wedding day. Frankly, all I want to do is capture stunning photographs from your day and support you through each step – so building a relationship with me prior to the wedding is an important step toward achieving this goal!
Alyssa and Daniel were so easy to work with and I’m loving how their photos turned out. Their dark color palette captured the winter season perfectly and the dusky light was what dreams are made of (well maybe just my dreams). Following them around Laguna Beach, and listening to their love story, was the highlight of my evening.
